    Description:
    This is a 790nm single mode laser diode, which can output 80mW kink free optical power from its 5μm aperture. It was p-up bonded on TO-18 (5.6mm TO can), which was made in the USA. It came to us with a lot of other electronic/opto-electronic related surplus. We have more than 600 such lasers in stock. The lasers are brand new not used. Please be aware that the slope efficiency is not high for this batch of lasers.

    We will test the lasers before shipment; buyer should contact us as soon as he find it is defective;

    Since this is a Do-It-Yourself laser diode, we only refund if the product arrive to be defective; so please use it gently and properly when you assemble your device; you also need to send back in original shape to get refund/replacement; we won't refund or replace if the laser was damaged by buyers;
    Some tips for operating laser diode:

    Please use a power supply with stable output. Transient current spikes should be avoided.
    ·
    Please always connect the pins correctly.
    ·
    Heat sink with good thermal dissipation is required for holding the laser otherwise the laser will be burned.

    Please use eye protection when you operate the laser.
    ·
    It is better to wear an antistatic wrist band.
    ·
    You should always start with current well below the diodes maximum (about 0.15 amps in this case).
