    Description

    THE PHASES OF LUMBAR DEGENERATION
About me: My story and Why I made this poster
My first chiropractor helped me with many things, though at the time I thought it was normal.
He helped me with back pain after a fall down stairs. He also told me what to eat for my hypoglycemic attacks, after confirmation from my medical doctor (the 4 hour glucose tolerance test and other testing) that I was actually hypoglycemic.
When I had acne and the dermatologist told me foods have absolutely nothing to do with acne, just take these antibiotics and cortisone crème my acne did get better, but it really cleared up after visiting my chiropractic physician who informed me what foods to eat, not to eat and which supplements to take. But that’s not why I became a chiropractor.
In high school I became allergic to milk.
I would get painful gas, bloating, and diarrhea and I didn’t know why.
I finally was able to connect it to milk, cheese and ice cream.
I even thought maybe it was in my head until I had pains after being sure I didn’t eat any milk products.
Then the next day, I checked the trash from the last nights’ dinner and the Rice-a-Roni product I ate contained Casein, a milk product, that can cause milk pains, and I was that sensitive.
From then on I knew for sure I couldn’t handle milk products and it wasn’t in my head.
How do you fake gas and diarrhea?
One day, I visit my chiropractor for an ache, and I mentioned my cheese issue.
He said he could fix that.
I said, “I didn’t know you can fix pains caused by milk intolerance, why didn’t you tell me?” And he said, “Why didn’t you ask me!”
He used a technique called Total Body Modification (TBM) to help the body’s aberrant neurologic response to milk (milk and casein tested as an issue).
Immediately after the adjustment/treatment, he gave me a piece of cheese and I didn’t have any milk/cheese pains.
I thought this was the greatest thing ever.
Who cares how it worked, who cares if it was in my head, who cares. How do you fake diarrhea?
    I was better.
The milk pains didn’t come back until 17 years later.
Marriage can be stress full and at that time I couldn’t tolerate virtually any kind of food including cheese. For the rest of my life story….for now, back to the poster.
Because of my remarkable adjustment I decided to become a chiropractor.
I studied the same techniques as my first chiropractor, including TBM and applied kinesiology, but also the basics things, like actually adjusting the spine, adjusting extremities and cranial adjusting.
In fact, I continued my studies with over 7,000 hours of post graduate seminar training.
I even became a Chinese medicine Doctor and teach seminars on Clinical Kinesiology and Internal Disorders.
So why did I tell you that and why did I make this poster?
I didn’t get where I am today in one step, it was a process and a chain of linked events.
And where is one of the crucial places for a chiropractor to start?
    The spine and the subluxation.
If I didn’t experience the benefit of the adjustment for spinal function then I may have never gotten the chance to know and experience the other benefits, like improved organ function, dietary recommendations, etc.
In my office today I still treat and correct first the subluxation, yes there are herbs for kidney stones, herbs and adjustments for a cold/flu, adjustments for menstrual cramps…
My specialty is digestion/gluten sensitivity and female hormone balance, but I still give patients adjustment and remove subluxations, including extremity subluxations.
I consider this poster the foundation of what we do, in a clear concise format:
You the patient have this, the symptoms are often this, this is what we do to fix it, it can take this long to fix it, and if not corrected this is what can happen.
I recommend putting the poster next to your x-ray view box so the patients can compare their x-rays to the poster.
I didn’t use fancy colors because it’s an x-ray, if you want fancy colors, paint the walls an appropriate color, this poster is about x-rays and about the patient not pizzazz or fluff.
I also recommend giving every patient a report of finding so they know what to expect from you and what is expected from them.
The Four Phases of Lumbar Degeneration
This is the original phases of spinal degeneration.  This poster virtually does your report of findings for you.  A normal spine is presented with 4 phases of spinal degeneration.  Each phase lists the most common symptoms, ages, changes seen on x-ray and the average corrective time.  Having this information in print and picture form greatly enhances your report of findings.  Patients easily understand what they have and what you are going to do about it.
This is the matching poster to the cervical phases of spinal degeneration.
Put both by the x-ray viewbox/report of findings room or one in each adjusting room.
    poster size is 24"x36"
printed on heavy poster stock and suitable to be framed or laminated.
Poster will be rolled up and mailed in a cylinder and not folded.
Items will be shipped to the confirmed address unless you request other arrangements.
