    Description

This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features a Joseph F. Glidden patent dated, November 24, 1874. This wire is called "Glidden's Two-Point Barb on Round Line & Three Strand Cable", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 340-B). This wire features two line wires, one line wire is round, and the other is a cable made of three small lines twisted together. Barbs are Two pointed made by wrapping a round barbing wire twice around the round line. Round line is twisted with the cable line. This sample is 18" in length and has four barbs,. Barbs are well spaced, but cut is not well centered. Wire shows age wear, with light pitting. There are no bent, broken or missing barbs. Wire is in very good used condition. There are no off odors. I have listed other wires, both as auction and fixed price listings. We will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping, when paid on the same invoice ... using the buy it now option. First wire ships for .50; additional wires are fifty cents each extra. Twelve or more wire ship for free.
